IGNIFY

Acceptable Use Policy

Version 2.0.0 · Effective June 28, 2026

Brand: Ignify. Operated by IGNIFY, Inc. IGNIFY, Inc. is a Delaware corporation. Its registered charter name is currently "IGNIFY Incorporated"; a name change to "IGNIFY, Inc." is pending under DGCL § 242. References to "IGNIFY, Inc." in this document mean the same entity.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that every user of the IGNIFY platform (the "Platform") agrees to follow when posting, messaging, uploading, booking, or otherwise contributing content or interacting with others on the Platform. IGNIFY operates a technology platform that connects students and families with independent music studios and teachers ("Studios"); IGNIFY is not a Studio or teacher and is not a party to the lesson, enrollment, or service relationship between you and any Studio.

This AUP supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, the IGNIFY Terms & Conditions, End User License Agreement (EULA), and Privacy Policy, and it interlocks with any Community Guidelines that govern public community features. The EULA and Community Guidelines are published as separate documents; where this AUP and one of those documents both address the same conduct, they are intended to be read together, and the stricter rule applies. This AUP is enforceable in the same way as the Terms & Conditions.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to this AUP. If you violate it, IGNIFY may remove the offending content, warn you, temporarily restrict your account, or permanently terminate your account, with or without prior notice depending on severity. Suspected unlawful activity may be reported to law enforcement, and suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as described below.

1. Scope of this Policy

This AUP applies to everything you submit to or do on the Platform, across the iOS and Android apps (bundle us.ignify.app), the public website (ignify.us), and the customer dashboard (app.ignify.us), including:

  1. posts, comments, and other contributions in Studio community feeds;
  2. direct messages, group threads, and Studio-message threads;
  3. attachments you upload with messages or posts (images, audio, video, PDFs, and other files);
  4. lesson audio recorded through the Platform's consented recording feature, and the lesson reports generated from it;
  5. profile content (display name, avatar, and any biographical text);
  6. reviews and ratings of Studios and teachers; and
  7. anything else you submit through the apps or web surfaces.

It also applies to how you interact with other users, including Studio owners, teachers, family coordinators, adult learners, and guardian-managed child profiles.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use the Platform to create, upload, post, transmit, store, or otherwise make available any of the following content, or to engage in any of the following conduct.

2.1 Illegal content and conduct

You may not use the Platform to commit, plan, promote, or facilitate any activity that is unlawful under U.S. federal or state law, or under the law of any jurisdiction from which you access the Platform.

2.2 Child sexual abuse material and the sexualization of minors

IGNIFY has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") and for any content that sexualizes a minor. We report suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement. Prohibited content includes not only unambiguous CSAM but also sexualized depictions, suggestive poses or captions involving a minor, and any grooming behavior. Additional protections for minors are set out in Section 3.

2.3 Harassment, threats, hate, and discrimination

You may not threaten violence, stalk, dox, or engage in sustained harassment of any person. You may not post hate speech or content that demeans, attacks, or incites violence against a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristic.

2.4 Sexually explicit content

The Platform is family-oriented. Pornography and sexually explicit or sexually suggestive content involving any person — minor or adult — are prohibited.

2.5 Violence, gore, and self-harm

You may not post graphic violence or gore, content that glorifies or instructs others in self-harm or suicide, or self-harm content presented without appropriate safety resources.

2.6 Impersonation and deception

You may not pretend to be another person, Studio, organization, or member of IGNIFY staff, and you may not misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliations in a way that could mislead families, Studios, or other users.

2.7 Spam and unsolicited commercial content

You may not use the messaging system to mass-send promotional content, to recruit users into off-Platform services, or to operate pyramid or similar schemes. A Studio may message its own enrolled families about that Studio's activities; that is the boundary.

2.8 Malicious code and security probing

You may not upload malware, phishing links, exploit code, or content designed to harm other users' devices. You may not probe, scan, or attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or access controls, and you may not access the Platform through scrapers or automated clients outside the sanctioned app, web, and dashboard surfaces. Good-faith security research is welcome; please contact us first at security@ignify.us so we can coordinate responsibly.

2.9 Doxxing and sharing others' private information

You may not post another person's contact information, home or location details, photographs, financial information, or other identifying details without that person's permission, even if the information is available elsewhere.

2.10 Recording without consent

The Platform's lesson-recording feature is off by default, is initiated by a teacher, and operates only with consent that you (or, for a child profile, the responsible guardian) grant and may revoke. Direct messages and voice or video calls between users are not recorded by the Platform. You may not separately or unilaterally record another participant — inside or outside the official recording flow — without that participant's explicit consent. Several states (including California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington) require the consent of all parties to record a private conversation; you are responsible for complying with the law that applies to you.

2.11 Evading enforcement and account abuse

You may not share your account credentials, and you may not create multiple accounts to evade a prior suspension, termination, or block.

2.12 Intellectual-property infringement and DMCA

You may not upload or share material that infringes another party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights, or that you do not own or have permission to use. IGNIFY responds to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). To submit a takedown notice or counter-notice, email copyright@ignify.us with "DMCA" in the subject line and include the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512.

3. Special Protections for Minors

The Platform serves families with children, including children under 13. Children do not create or control their own accounts: a minor's profile is added and managed by a guardian, who controls bookings, payments, messages, and recording consent on the child's behalf. IGNIFY does not knowingly permit a child under 13 to register or operate an independent account. When IGNIFY identifies an under-13 self-registered account, it flags the account for review; automated decommissioning is not yet in place. IGNIFY's collection and handling of children's information, and IGNIFY's approach to verifiable parental consent, are described in the Privacy Policy.

The following additional rules protect minors on the Platform:

  1. No unsanctioned adult-to-minor private messaging. A teacher or Studio administrator may communicate about a minor only within the sanctioned Studio or family context. Private one-to-one messaging between an adult and a minor outside that context is not permitted.
  2. No identifiable images, video, or audio of a minor in community posts without the guardian's explicit consent.
  3. No grooming. Any attempt to build a private relationship with a minor outside the sanctioned Studio or family context is treated as a severe violation and is reported.
  4. No soliciting personal information from a minor (such as full name, home address, phone number, or school) outside the sanctioned enrollment flow.

If you become aware of content or conduct that endangers a minor, please report it immediately using the in-app Report tool or by emailing safety@ignify.us with the subject line "URGENT: minor safety".

4. Reporting, Blocking, and Enforcement

4.1 Reporting content

Every post, comment, message, and attachment on the Platform has an in-app Report affordance. Choose the reason that best fits (for example, harassment, sexual content involving a minor, threat of violence, or spam). Your report is routed to IGNIFY's moderation queue with your identity withheld from the reported user. You may also report objectionable content or conduct by email to safety@ignify.us.

4.2 Blocking

Any user may block any other user. A block is bidirectional: once you block someone, that person cannot message you, cannot see your posts in shared feeds, and cannot start a new conversation with you. You can manage your block list in Settings → Privacy → Blocked users.

4.3 Response timeline

IGNIFY aims to review and act on reports within 24 hours for content or conduct that endangers any person — and especially a minor — and within 72 hours for other reported violations. Severe violations may result in immediate removal of content and suspension of the responsible account pending investigation.

4.4 Enforcement actions

Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, IGNIFY may remove content, issue a warning, limit account features, suspend an account, or permanently terminate an account, with or without prior notice. Repeated or severe violations, and any conduct that appears unlawful, may be referred to law enforcement, and suspected CSAM is reported to NCMEC.

4.5 Appeals

If you believe content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you may appeal within 14 days by emailing appeals@ignify.us with the subject line "Appeal", the report or action identifier shown in the notice we sent you, and a brief explanation. Where reasonably practicable, an appeal is reviewed by a different member of the moderation team than the person who made the original decision.

5. Contact

Use the in-app Report and Block tools for the fastest handling of objectionable content and abusive users. You may also reach IGNIFY by email:

6. Changes to this Policy

IGNIFY may update this AUP from time to time. For material changes, IGNIFY will provide notice by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect and will prompt you to re-accept on next app launch where required. The "Effective" date at the top of this document shows when the current version took effect. Your continued use of the Platform after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
